Frequently asked questions
How does a GEO check run?
Visovra writes test questions from your site title and description (brand questions and category recommendation questions; Japanese sites get Japanese questions), asks each AI engine live through its search-enabled API, then checks the cited URLs and answer text for your domain.
What are the per-engine verdicts?
Strong visibility: cited in at least 60% of test questions. Partial visibility: cited in fewer than 60%. Not cited: queried but never cited. Unavailable: the engine could not be checked (quota, timeout, outage); it is shown as unavailable and never guessed.
How is the overall site score weighted?
SEO 30%, Performance 25%, Security 15%, Content 15%, AI SEO 15%. Performance blends the rule-based score (60%) with Google PageSpeed Insights / Lighthouse (40%).
What is the AI Readiness Score?
A 100-point score of technical readiness for AI, five dimensions of 20 points each: schema markup, llms.txt, AI-bot access, content structure, and citation record (one fifth of your GEO Score).
Does an AI-bot-blocking robots.txt hurt?
In the AI Readiness Score, open access earns 20 points and explicitly blocking AI training bots earns 5.
What are the limits of the score?
Answers vary between runs, each check uses a small set of test questions, and the score indicates citation likelihood, not a guaranteed ranking for every query.
